Online Zen Sitting

Mountain Moon Zen has been committed to providing access to Zen in Brisbane since 1993, and in these unprecedented times, we will continue that through another medium.

For the first time, we will be offering online Zen in response to the COVID-19 situation currently impacting our community.

A note from Liyea:

Dear Sangha Members

Please keep in mind that face-to-face sitting with the sangha is the most optimal way to achieve the best benefit of your practice. I will do my best to offer the ONLINE presence as required until the emergency of the CONVID-19 restrictions are lifted and that it is safe for sitters to return to normal face-to-face schedule.  Thank-you all for your continued attendance and support. At this time when there is so much uncertainties and it is causing a lot of stress and anxieties, there is a great need to continue your zazen practice at home. Zazen will help you reach an inner calm and I sincerely hope you continue with your practice in the safety of your home.

I recognize that this is a very new idea, however, I like to reassure you that I have tried the online dokusan sessions with Mathew Barram last year, while he was working overseas for a few months and it can work for us  now, until the crisis with the COVID-19 is over.

If you have any further queries regarding process please email me

If you have any technical queries regarding linking on, please email Mathew Barram as he is our technical consultant .

Keep safe, we sit together,

(Sei-Un Ann Li-Yea Bretz)
